TACOS

Tacos
Ingredients:

10 Taco Shells (soft or hard)
1 lb Lean ground beef
1 pkg Taco seasoning
1 cup Cheese
1-2 Tomatoes
1/4 Head of Lettuce
2-3 Green Onions
1/2 cup Salsa
1/2 cup Sour Cream

Procedure:

1. Crumble ground beef in a skillet (frying pan), cook over medium heat stirring with a wooden or plastic spoon to break up meat. When pink is no longer visible, drain excess fat from meat into container indicated by teacher.

2. Add taco seasoning to meat and stir in thoroughly, still over medium heat. When ready, put meat mixture in a serving bowl.

3. Using a hand grater or box grater, using coarse edge, grate cheese into a bowl.

4. Remove core from tomato, then with a sharp, serrated knife carefully dice tomato on a cutting board. Put diced tomato into a bowl.

5. Remove outer damaged leaves from lettuce. Lay wedge on a cutting board and shred using a sharp knife. Put shredded lettuce into a bowl.

6. On a cutting board, using a paring knife, cut the root ends off the green onions and trim off the tip of green ends. Remove outer layer of onion. To chop green onion, simply slice off into small pieces. Put onion into a bowl.

7. Heat taco shells in the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes. If using soft tortillas, heat on high in microwave for 1 minute.

ENJOY :)
